You need to begin taking the tablets three days before your period is due. Order at least a week in advance to allow time for the clinician review and delivery or collection.
Norethisterone can delay your period by up to 17 days. Your period will usually start two to three days after you stop taking the tablets.
Norethisterone is not a contraceptive. If you use hormonal contraception, the clinician will check for interactions during the assessment. Non-hormonal contraception is unaffected.
Some women experience bloating, breast tenderness or changes in mood. These are usually mild and stop once you finish taking the tablets. The clinician will check your suitability before prescribing.
